Growing up in Sicily, Italy, surrounded by a loving family and a caring community, Alessio developed his passion for helping people at an early age. In 2000 he left Sicily to study Sociology at the University in Rome, where he met his wife, an American who was visiting Rome at the time. In 2004 he moved to the US to start their life together here. Alessio then pursued further academic degrees, receiving his Associates in Dental Hygiene (2010), and Associates in Liberal Arts (2011) Diplomas from Monroe Community College. Since 2010 Alessio has been practicing as a Periodontal Hygienist, joining Dr. Zahavi’s practice in 2011.

Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, Alessio loves to connect with his patients. Whether he is discussing periodontal health, sharing some of his delicious family recipes, or exchanging traveling tips with you, Alessio’s warm, caring nature will make you feel right at home (or should we say right at Rome?). In his spare time, Alessio enjoys biking, cooking, and traveling with his family.
